The development of organic fruit growing is progressing rapidly and is a high priority at Delphy. We are therefore seeking an enthusiastic and motivated advisor in organic fruit growing.
This is what you will be doing as Organic fruit growing advisor
As an advisor, you provide organic entrepreneurs with expert advice on a wide range of topics, such as cultivation and cultivation systems, soil health, fertilisation, weed control, disease and pest management, business operations and the further development of organic fruit growing. You will also act as a sparring partner for entrepreneurs in the areas of biodiversity, marketing, legislation and regulations, economics and strategy. Your advice will be tailored to the individual and aimed at improving or optimising operating results. In addition to advising individual companies, you will supervise study groups, give lectures and take initiatives to acquire new customers. You will also contribute ideas on the design and implementation of innovative projects that add value to the sector. You will work in a team of expert fellow advisers. In collaboration with the team, you will further develop your knowledge and skills and advise entrepreneurs.
Your work area is both within and outside the Netherlands and will be further defined in consultation with the team. You will mostly work from your home office.
This is what we are looking for
- You are fluent in Dutch
- You have completed a relevant higher professional education or university degree
- Preferably, you have several years of experience as a consultant in organic fruit growing
- You are enterprising, creative, used to working independently, persistent and have strong communication and social skills
- You have a valid driving licence B
