Do you want to build software that makes a real difference? At Delphy Digital, you’ll work on smart applications that help growers produce fruit and vegetables in a more sustainable, efficient and intelligent way. No outdated software here – just technology that’s used every day to grow fruit and vegetables in greenhouses all over the world.
About Delphy Digital
Delphy Digital is the digital arm of Delphy and develops innovative software for the horticultural sector. Our flagship product is QMS: a smart cultivation application that combines cultivation data, growth models and practical knowledge. This enables growers to look ahead, run through scenarios and actively adjust their approach to yield, quality and sustainability.
Our team consists of developers, data scientists and implementation specialists. We are young, ambitious and work with short lines of communication. Your ideas count and you’ll quickly see the results of your work – both in the software and with the customer.
This is what you will be doing as Software Developer
As a Software Developer, you will contribute to web applications and (mobile) interfaces for data-driven crop management. You will be involved in the entire process: from concept to launch (and beyond).
Specifically, you will:
- Build new features and improve existing functionalities in QMS
- Work on both front-end and back-end
- Unlock and process data via databases, models, APIs and external systems
- Collaborate with data scientists on the integration of growth models
- Contribute ideas on architecture, performance and user-friendliness
- Translate feedback from growers and advisors into smart solutions
- Work according to Scrum/Agile, with short iterations and plenty of personal input
Tech stack
You don’t need to know everything just yet. Learning is encouraged (and essential). You’ll be working with, amongst other things:
- Oracle APEX (low-code)
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- SQL & PL/SQL
- REST APIs and web services
- Jira, Bitbucket & Confluence
- The use of modern AI tools to develop smarter and more efficiently is encouraged
This is what we are looking for
We are looking for people who are curious and motivated to contribute to sustainable horticulture. Personal development and growth are very important to us. Does this sound like you?
- You have a relevant qualification or demonstrable experience in software development
- You have an affinity for web development and databases
- Experience with Oracle APEX and/or (PL)SQL is a bonus, but not essential
- You are curious, eager to learn and enjoy improving processes
- You want to understand how users work and why software is valuable to them
- You can explain technical decisions to colleagues and clients
- You communicate well in English (Dutch is an advantage)
Our offer
- Work on innovative software with a social impact
- A place in a young, enthusiastic and expert team
- Plenty of scope to learn, experiment and help shape the future
- A role that evolves alongside your skills and ambitions
- Training opportunities through the Delphy Academy
- Flexible working hours & hybrid working
- Competitive salary + excellent benefits
- Short lines of communication, plenty of responsibility and a challenging role
