Internship: Research on Optimisation of Cannabis Growing Conditions

Project: Medical Cannabis Platform for Innovation and Research (MCPIR)

The Medical Cannabis Platform for Innovation and Research (MCPIR) is a collaboration between six founding partners: Priva, Koppert, Delphy, Paradise Seeds, Signify and Mills Nutrients. This platform was established with the aim of researching and defining optimal growing conditions for qualitative and quantitative cannabis production. The MCPIR aims to develop a blueprint for the further professionalisation of cannabis cultivation, with the ultimate goal of delivering consistent quality and standardising cultivation methods in the industry.

Over a five-year period, the MCPIR will conduct multiple cultivation studies to investigate the effect of various factors on the growth and quality of cannabis plants. Through close cooperation with founding partners and other companies involved, the MCPIR will also apply the latest technologies and scientific methods to gain an in-depth understanding of cannabis cultivation and production.

The Delphy Improvement Centre in Bleiswijk serves as the main research facility for the MCPIR project. Here, cultivation studies are designed, conducted and analysed, using state-of-the-art technologies and facilities to ensure the best results.
