Cucumber consultantGreenhouse horticulture

With over 250 consultants and researchers, Delphy is the leading consultancy and research firm for businesses across all horticultural sectors. Developing and implementing knowledge for all horticultural sectors is Delphy’s core process. The Delphy Greenhouse Horticulture team comprises over 35 consultants. They offer expert and independent advice to entrepreneurs in the greenhouse horticulture sector. For knowledge development and implementation, the consultants work closely with researchers at the Delphy Improvement Centre and with Delphy Digital in Bleiswijk. Due to high demand for consultancy services, we are seeking a motivated cucumber consultant.

  • This is what you will be doing as Cucumber consultant

As a cucumber consultant, you will provide growers with expert advice across a very broad range of areas, including crop assessment, fertilisation, crop protection, climate control, AI/ICT/forecasting, energy, lighting, water and labour. You will be involved in both the technical aspects of cultivation and the many business-related matters that are just as important to growers. For cucumber cultivation, you will actively apply data-driven digital intelligence. This is a challenging strategic advisory role with enormous future potential, given all the developments underway in the field of digitalisation in cultivation and the development of autonomous cultivation processes. The core of the role remains providing expert and reliable advice to growers. Effective guidance from the cultivation advisor must ensure that the grower gains real added value in successfully running their business.

You will advise businesses, both at home and abroad, independently. In addition to individual consultancy, part of this role involves contributing to joint and broader research projects. The company wishes to be and remain involved in the latest developments in the cucumber sector, both at home and abroad. This is a synergy between the market and future-oriented research.
