At the ISFC, we conduct innovative and independent research and develop knowledge for the soft fruit sector in a state-of-the-art research facility. We work closely with growers, suppliers, partners and Delphy advisors, and share our knowledge with them through projects and events.
This is what you will be doing as Soft fruit researcher at ISFC
As a researcher at Delphy ISFC, you will be responsible for setting up, carrying out, supervising and sharing knowledge regarding research projects in soft fruit cultivation (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries).
Your duties will include:
• Setting up and carrying out practice-oriented research projects
• Helping to manage cultivation within research projects, in collaboration with the farm manager, fellow researchers and cultivation staff
• Collecting, analysing and interpreting research data and advising on implementation based on this data
• Reporting research results and sharing knowledge with growers, partners and colleagues
• Initiating and developing new research proposals and innovation themes
• Making substantive contributions to knowledge events, presentations and conferences
You will work in a small and enthusiastic team, where independence and collaboration go hand in hand.This is what we are looking for
• A completed higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) degree, preferably in horticulture, plant sciences, agronomy or a related field
• An interest in (soft fruit) cultivation and practical research
• Analytical skills and a structured approach to work
• Curiosity, a willingness to learn and initiative
• Good communication skills (written and oral)
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Experience in research is an advantage
• Category B driving licenceOur offer
